“We must be willing to let go of the life we’ve planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us.”Joseph Campbell
Everyone experiences anxiety in some way at some time in their life. It can arise when taking a driving test, or waiting for medical news. Anxiety can show up unexpectedly when facing unexpected crisis or change. Additionally, some people are unaware they are anxious because they keep busy. Regardless, no one I know wants to be anxious. Let’s find ways to use anxiety to start living…
Managed anxiety allows you to live your life.
Left not managed, anxiety will steal life’s joys.
Anxiety is the by product of overthinking, genetics, and life experiences.
Stress is the by product of external pressure and demands. They usually go together as stress and anxiety.
You can reduce external stressors by learning to say no more often and yes to you. Can you think of one thing you could give away, or let go of right now? It could be one small thing like not worrying if the floor is swept today.
Reducing stress in your life leads to reduced anxiety.
But there are also things you can do to manage the physical and energetic symptoms of anxiety. Things like breathing mindfully, moving mindfully and meditating mindfully.
